The present century has seen the rapid development of new technologies in print and communication. It is a difficult time to be a traditional printer, and there has been a great deal of consolidation in the industry. Print companies which are unable to adapt and invest have found it particularly difficult to survive. The Pollard family has evolved itself, with intergenerational transitions designed to retain clarity of leadership for the company. Andrew Pollard (formerly Professor of Education at Bristol, Cambridge and London) chaired the Board from 1997 to 2014. The Chairman is now Ben Pollard (Founder and Chief Executive of Cushon, a FinTech promoting workplace saving and pensions). They work closely with professional managers and support a culture of collaborative innovation to enable the business to thrive.
