We Are Pollards

Our History / 21st Century / We Are Pollards

Pollard’s has a long history and invests for the future. But it’s Pollards’ staff, with their exemplary skills, experience and commitment, who really make the difference.

Dennis Mason, who joined in 2007, provides an example. Dennis brought immense experience, having started his printing career in London’s Fleet Street of the 1960s and having progressed to leading roles in print production and procurement for both Devon County Council and the City of Plymouth. Initially, Dennis led Pollards’ production teams, but his depth of expertise and incisive questioning brought change across the business. Pollards pivoted from its previous niche focus on forms to become a high quality commercial colour printer. Business processes, organisational structures, quality accreditations and investment strategies were transformed. Dennis contributed directly to Pollards’ modernisation and innovation and, as a Non-Executive Director from 2012, he provided ‘grit in the oyster’ by highlighting new challenges to be faced. He finally retired in 2025.

The Pollards Group, now in Exeter, Buckingham and Plymouth, has many such excellent staff making particular, specialist contributions. Each role is different, but our collaborative teams are really effective.

The ‘company’ is its people. Despite the challenges in our industry, Pollards aims to value all employees, to delight our customers and to share the benefits of growth. Together, ‘We Are Pollards’.
